DIN471 External Circlips, Retaining Rings
DIN471 external circlip is a type of retaining ring for holding structural components, e.g. rolling bearings on a shaft. Its given an eccentric shape, fitted with spring retention in grooves and suitable for the transmission of axial forces.
The general material used for external circlips are C75 or CK75 spring steels, 65Mn steels and stainless steels with an extra anti-corrosion treatment of phosphatized or oiled.
